All in a days pickings...

The garden enjoyed last weekends torrential rain...and I feel tomato sauce coming on...

Making Jam

We made rhubarb and ginger jam. Delicious! Anybody want any rhubarb?

Beach time

Sonya and I had a gorgeous few days at the beach - Hahei and surrounds, staying at The Church.

Delphiniums

I have successfully grown delphiniums for the first time! Obviously you just need the right place. And yes, I did pull out the red petunias!

Blue and White

I dragged this old blue and white quilt out of the cupboard. I made it 15 years ago and it's all basted waiting for someone to quilt it.  I have my new quilt I want to quilt but, as it's been a while, thought I might practice on this one first. It has wool batting so is quite bulky and hot on these 30 degree days we are having! But it reminds me just how much I do actually enjoy machine quilting - once you're all set up and comfy. It's actually quite therapeutic!

La Masure

When I moved into my little house I called it La Masure - which sounds grand but actually means 'the hovel'. It is certainly looking less hovelish these days and my new flower garden is blooming brightly. Everyday I am tempted to pull out the red flowers and just have blue and white, how long can I resist the urge??
